"Italian Toy Trains - Dream Mediterranean"

" Having left the magnificent Alpine mountains behind via one of the vast railway tunnels we find ourselves by one of the vast railway tunnels we find ourselves by one of the beautiful lakes, not quite North-European but very Italian. By the time we reach Milano it is apparent that Italy has a very extensive modern railway system, indeed a historic system, too. The toy and model train manufacturers recognised this and produced beautiful and impressive replicas in the "FS" Italian State Railway liveries. Great reminders of those very successful large Ansaldo electric locos and all sorts of Italian and European rolling stock, with evocative interior detail just right to take you to Rome, Naples or even Sicily.
Come and see the fabulous examples in the museum ... "
