When you visit the museum there are plenty of extra things to keep children of all ages occupied and engaged but if you‘d like to try some things out at home please feel free to download the files below and try out the activities and crafts.

Here are some colouring sheets which are available in the museum but download the PDFs and you can have a go at home too!

If you’re feeling a bit more ‘crafty’ then why not print and make these great pin puppets. Just cut out the different parts and use butterfly clips to secure them together…  Maybe you can come up with some of your own?

Or If you like the idea of having your very own Museum then this booklet created by our friends at Heritage learning can tell you how to start your very own. It’s easier than you think!

Looking for something a bit more festive? These traditional Victorian Christmas decoration instructions are easy to follow and you can get some great results. Download the Victorian Decorations sheet here.

If you are coming to visit us and fancy a bit more of a challenge while you’re here, you can try these quizzes out at the Museum:

We also have exciting story sacks available on request which you can take round the museum to add an extra dimension to your visit.

Ask at the front desk about these resources and our volunteers will be glad to help you out.
