The Rotunda Cafe was known by local kids in the 1950s as "the posh cafe" in Preston Park – it was the one that the family would go to when relatives were visiting (otherwise they'd use the Chalet Cafe).
Pond
In front of the circular building there is a circular pond with a central island, and stepping-stones that take the footpath across it. Visitors are asked when crossing the pond to keep a careful look out for any frogs or newts that might be on the path.

Rotunda Cafe
Built in 1929, this circular single storey building was the subject of a Heritage Lottery Grant, has been restored to its former glory, and is now a busy continental style cafe. Designed in Italianate style by Bertia MacLaren, the building has 11 glazed timber doors, leading to a terrace and overlooking a rose garden.
