A marionette of a Policeman made by Pelham Puppets

This puppet was an SM type, defined by the movable mouth which is controlled by an extra string on the control bar.

Description

' Teacher' stringed mouth SM Pelham puppet, no box.

Pink skin tone wooden ball head with round ball nose and red hand painted eyes with articulating lower jaw, red lips. White acrylic fur hair with black felt square 'mortar board' hat. White cotton shirt with black felt bow tie, under a black cotton long sleeved long jacket & trousers to match. Body construction - chest and hips unpainted wood, arms pink, solid tubular wood with metal eyelet joints, composition open hands, holding batten wood stick. Legs pink tubular plastic with moulded vertical joints to knees and ankles. Black wooden barrel style feet.

Folding wooden cross control.

Box - white card with yellow lid, illustrations of Hansel, Gretel, Dutch boy & girl puppets etc. Box labelled 'Suzzanna Gypsy Girl' in pencil.
