An early (1930's?) green Hornby Series 4-4-2 locomotive and tender, finished with the Flying Scotsman name and LNER running number, 4472.
This is a slightly "loose" representation, as the real Flying Scotsman is a 4-6-2 locomotive. The paintwork is also slightly unusual in that the Flying Scotsman in green livery usually had the first band of its boiler painted black. On this model, the very front of the locomotive is black, but the first band is green, like the rest of the model's bodywork.
