Marklin Plus

1973 -

Marklin Plus is Marklin's plastic construction set system. It first appeared in the main Marklin catalogue (described as "nue") in 1973.

With the original German patent documents submitted in February 1973, the system looked rather similar to the Phillips construction toy system, based on grey square-cross-section plastic beams with grooves along their length along each side, that connecting to plates and blocks whose pegs engaged with the groove.

A number of further components with matching pegs were patented through 1973-1976.
