The lantern is a very, very rare promotional piece created by Meccano Ltd. for display at the British Empire Exhibition (1924/1925), and as far as we know, only two were ever made.
If it appeared at the 1924 exhibition, then it woull have been rubbing shoulders with Queen Mary's Dolls' House and the LNER 4472 Flying Scotsman locomotive, both of which were launched and shown off at the 1924 Wembley show.
