A special Train Running Day, on 1st November 2014 with a French theme, French Connecions 2. The day will focus on French locomotives and running stock and French manufacturers, with an emphasis on the Parisian manufacturer Fournereau.

The event has been rescheduled to be on the same weekend as the London to Brighton Vintage Car Rally. This should make it easier for transport enthusiasts coming to Brighton for the weekend to catch both events.

Programme

  • Saturday 1st November 2014 - ~10:30-~17:00 morning and afternoon shows, with layouts running approximately ~10:30am-12:30pm, and ~2pm-4:30pm, with a one-hour break. Timings are approximate.
Nord locomotive (Fournereau) and Wagons-Lit rolling stock, on the period 1930s gauge 0 model railway layout


French music evening

As a late addition to the schedule, the museum will also be hosting a separate French-themed music evening (Soiree Francaise, with Sam Chara and Bing Lyle) after the Running Day, from 7:30pm to half past midnight.
