Marklin had a range of diecast toy military vehicles in the 1930s, which expanded in the later 1930s as the buildup to World War Two resulted in an expansion of the range of army vehicles in production in the real world.

8021 series

The main range of Märklin army vehicles was the 8021/ range, which had some counterparts in the Märklin Miniature Vehicles 5521 range. So, for instance the 8021/40 and 8021/41 military motorcycle and motorcycle and sidecar had "civilian" counterparts 5521/40 and 5521/41.
