A small red and white assembled model corner ESSO Filling Station Lego item number 310, first released in ~1956.

The set includes three petrol pumps and a roadside sign.

Description

The display beam above the doorway says "ESSO SERVICE" (with an "ESSO"-style "E"), and the piece is also described in catalogues as a "Petrol Station".

Our version doesn't have a red edge on the roof pieces that seems to be a feature of the catalogue images ... the BrickLink site says that the stripe disappeared from catalogue pictures circa ~1963, so, assuming that the earlier catalogue images aren't misleading, this suggests that the model's parts might be post-1963 (or that it might have been put together from generic non-set parts).

The model is displayed as a part of a selection of contemporary pieces on a Lego Town Plan Set baseboard.
