A red and cream Rigi Duo 9000 E painted tinplate two-car mountain cableway set.
Although not obviously branded, the cars are clearly the same tinplate cars made by Lehman for their Rigi 900 cableway.
Box promotional text:
The Rigi Cable Railways are accurate copies of this means of transport, known and loved in all mountain districts. The Rigi cable railways can carry figures andloads form the valley station up to the mountain station and at he same time take enormous gradients.
The Rigi-Duo cable railway can be erected indoors or in the open. Imaginative children will soon recognise the thousand and one possibilities of assembly and play. The mountain station, for example, may be hung onto door knobs, window catches, wall hooks and so on, while the valley station can be found a place on the floor, the table, a chair, the windowsill or the like.
Take care to ensure, before starting to use the railway, that the cords are not twisted together. During the journey, the left hand holds the valley station in such a way that the cordlies quite tight over the two rollers. The valley station can also be fastened to a fixed base with screw or nails.
Rigi
The Rigi mountain (whose name is related, literally to "ridge") is a popular holidaying destination in Switzerland bounded on three sides by lakes, and served by a cog-driven mountain railway and a cable car.
