Hornby Dublo revolving, motorised, illuminated shop display sign from the 1950's

A moving, illuminated Art Deco-styled overhead shop wall display designed to be mounted above other displays to catch the attention of passers-by. The display consists of a horizontal rotating five-faced prism block with a central fluorescent lamp, fitted to a wall unit with rounded mountings at each side. The display revolves to show off the different text and images on the five horizontal backlit panels ("HORNBY DUBLO" / "MECCANO" / etc.).

The item is finished in a pale blue to match the colour of contemporary Hornby retail boxes, and has shiny chrome silver trim. Its styling is reminiscent of other classic 1950's-designed curved, chromed objects.

The sign is inside the right-hand "Hornby Wall" cabinet, at the end of Arch Four, above an inset arch.
