Apollo space programme models (Dragon)

Dragon's range of Apollo space programme models (mostly 1:72) are really quite nice. The lunar landers are plastic, the Command Service modules are metal and plastic, and occasional details on some models (CSM antennae) are etched brass.

Unfortunately, we haven't been able to find any official listing for the range, the following is what we've been able to glean from auction websites and by studying the photos.

APOLLO 7 – CSM (Command Service Module) – No 50374

Just the orbiting spaceship. The capsule probably doesn't detach.

APOLLO 8 – CSM (Command Service Module) – No.50378

Just the orbiting spaceship. The capsule probably doesn't detach.

It's possible that the markings and details may differ from the APOLLO 7 model.

APOLLO 9 – Command Service Module (CSM) with Launch Escape system, and Lunar Module Adaptor – No.50379

This is the Apollo "launch stack" consisting of the compartment for the Lunar Module, the Command Service module including capsule, and the white shroud and emergency escape system.

It doesn't actually include the Lunar Module. Supplied with an unobtrusive round base.

APOLLO 10 – Command Service Module (CSM) & Lunar Module (LM)

Includes the full assembly of tapered shroud, command module, and and safety escape tower.

Unlike the APOLLO 9 set, this one does include a Lunar Lander. One half of the tapered shroud is white, the other is transparent, so the user can decide to show the stack as it looked on the launchpad, or with a clear cutaway to the front revealing the lander.

APOLLO 11 “Lunar Approach" – CSM “Columbia”, LM “Eagle”==

This model consists of the CSM Columbia, and the Lunar Model Eagle, docked.

"Eagle" still has its feet tucked in, in the "stowed" rather than the "landing" position. We are not sure how the stand works, or whether the pair of spacecraft can be undocked.

APOLLO 12 "Lunar Landing" – CSM + LM + Surveyor 3 + Astronauts – No.560387

Includes a base for the lander, and a chromed arm for the CSM.

APOLLO 16 "Lunar Highlands Exploration” – CSM, LM, Lunar Rover, astronauts

Includes a base for the lander, presumably an arm for the CSM.
