An early Bayko Light Constructional Set, Outfit 2, by Plimpton Engineering.
The set is in a dark red box with a large lid label that covers almost the whole upper surface, with a large Bayko logo against a blue shy, with a number of Bayko houses on the ground beneath.
The set dates from the early period where Plimpton still referred to the system as "Bayko Light Constructional Sets", with "light" perhaps referring to the fact that the use of plastic made the sets weight less than all-metal construction sets, and perhaps also with "Bayko Light" sounding even more like "Bakelite".
