- January
- temporary return of the full Coronation Scot train (Exley for Bassett-Lowke) to the central 1930s layout.
- Feb-March
- Full speed ahead with work on the the new archival storage bays (non-public area)
- The Museum closed to the public (due to COVID) on 17th March.
- April-June
- The decision is made to furlough staff from 1st April.
- A range of display improvements and changes that had been originally planned for April onwards are put on hold.
- June
- The museum is featured on the BBC's [Bargain Hunt (Series 56, Lewes 19)].
- July
- The museum is kitted out with COVID screens on the counter, stickers on the floor, a one-way system, and protection equipment and new procedures.
- Museum reopens on July 28th.
- August onwards
- Work resumes on re-sorting the contents of the museum’s archival/storage areas.
- September
- Two new modern-specification computer screens for the Resource Room, for use by staff and volunteers.
- Updated Community Rail Partnership displays in Brighton Station.
- The return of the nice paper museum carrier bags, courtesy of Tidmas Townsend.
- October
- November
- Arguably the most desirable Trix Twin Railway model railway set ever produced, the gorgeous 1939 red "US tour" Coronation Scot presentation set.
- December
- Tri-ang Blue Pullman Train Set.
- The Museum closes again temporarily from December 26th, in response to new government rules.
