Noddy Car range (Morestone Budgie)

1950s -

The licensing for diecast toys of Noddy and his car (and variants) seems to have somehow ended up with Morestone in North London, who distributed a Noddy range, first under the Morestone Series marque, and then as part of the Budgie Toys range.

Promotional text:

Enid Blyton's delightful characters, Noddy and his friend Big Ears are known and loved by children all over the world. Created in story and brought to life by television, they now acquire a new intimacy as unbreakable polythene figures painted in authentic colours with non-injurious lead free paint.

But for every child Noddy without his car would be as incomplete as Big Ears without his bicycle so Budgie have produced these and other appropriate units as diecast models of true Budgie quality.

And these Noddy diecast models are exclusive to Budgie!

1961 range (as Budgie Toys):

  • No. 301 – Noddy and his Car (large)
  • No. 307 – Noddy and his Train with Big Ears
  • No. 311 – Noddy and his Trailer
  • No. 331 – Miniature Noddy and his Car
  • No. 333 – Miniature Big Ears on his Bicycle
