Railway Wonders of the World was a two-volume partwork published in magazine-style installments between 1935 and 1936.

The series built up into a high-quality reference encyclopedia of railways, and its appearance in the mid-1930s documented the subject as it was seen in the decade that marked the high point of railway steam power, making it a very useful historical reference.

The entire collection of images and text was scanned (and very well edited) and put online at www.railwaywondersoftheworld.com in around ~2014. However, out of respect to the modern editor (and as a matter of research discipline), any material from RWW on our site, here, has been independently scanned and transcribed from our own library copy.
