ShipSeries

1933 -

Skybirds ShipSeries were a companion range to the Skybirds range of model aircraft kits, and were announced in 1933 as "new" (with an initial range of one kit!).

Where the Skybirds aircraft were the forerunners of modern 1:72 aircraft modelling, and the range included lots of interesting aerodrome infrastructure and buildings, the ShipSeries 1:1200 range predated Triang's popular 1:1200 Minic Ships range, and included not just the ships, but also port and dock infrastructure.
