Wilhelm Schröder GmbH & Co. KG (Wilesco) have been are a German maufacturer of live steam model stationary steam engines, steamrollers and traction engines and accessories since 1950, with a product range very similar to that of Mamod. Willeco's range also includes jointed tinplate figures (woodcutter, etc.) that can be driven by a stationary engine.

Wilesco's original business (stll active) was/is producing dieacast aluminium cutlery, and other diecast household goods.

Hexamine fuel

Wilesco's recent engines (like Mamod's) were designed to use hexamine fuel (German trademark Esbit), whose sale is now increasingly restricted in the UK due to its status as a precusror chemical for RDX explosives.

Wilesco sell a proprietary fuel called WiTabs, but we don't currently know whether this is a hexamine mix, or a different fuel such as metaldehyde

Some of Wilesco's larger stationary steam models use electrical heating.
