Clarkes - The Art Shop

Clarkes of Sussex announced on 11th January 2025 that the last day of business for their Bond Street shop in Brighton would be the 8th February, but that they would be keeping the Lewes branch open.

Clarkes opened in November 2000, and had become a local community landmark, situated on the corner of Bond Street and Bond Street Lane, in North Laine. They also stocked some modelling supplies.

With Clarkes gone, alternative Brighton art/modelling paint and art-craft shops are Cass Art near the Town Hall (21 Market Street), and (a little further out) Hobbycraft on Lewes Road.
