About the character
The Duchess' Cook appears in two scenes in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, first appearing in the Duchess' home, making soup with copious amounts of pepper and throwing pots and pans at Alice and the baby she is looking after, and finally at The Knave of Hearts' trial, where she proves to be an unreliable witness, focusing more on talking about how tarts are made than on who actually stole them.
