A maroon Trix Twin Railway (TTR) Coronation Scot railway carriage with dark red speed-stripes, made circa ~1939.

This was an extra accessory carriage for the Trix flagship "Coronation Scot" set, based on the ill-fated super-luxury "red" train that toured the USA in 1939 and was stranded there for the course of the war.

Since high-speed luxury travel wasn't a priority in post-war austerity Britain, the train never got to run a commercial service in the UK.
