location: |
Arch Two , Area 9 Biscuit Tins (display) |
Shelf 3 |
A predominantly yellowish lithographed tinplate Elf-house themed moneybox. The box would probably have originally been sold containing sweets or biscuits, and has a horizontal slot in the upper part of the front face for taking coins.
Details
The box is a tall rectangular box, with a lid representing the roof of a house, with four angled slopes.
Overall, the box represents a light yellow-coloured house for the elves that are depicted all over the box's four sides, rolling coins along paths that lead up towards the slot.
