Every and Newman Iron and Brass Foundry were based in Lewes (where they owned the Phoenix Works) and Brighton.
The Brighton offshoot were on the corner of Trafalgar Street and Station Street.
Site
Some or all of the building is still present on Trafalgar Street, opposite a shop that sells radiators. The West-facing side has a really very nice brown ornamentally-tiled wall that looks as if it ought to have belonged to a pub, except that the text reads "ENGINE_RS BUILDERS MERCHANTS IRONFOUNDERS"
