A gauge 0 Lionel Trains model of the Flying Yankee, an American stainless-steel-shelled streamlined diesel-powered train from 1935.
The Yankee was built by the Budd Company for the Boston and Maine Railroad, as a copy of the practically-identical Pioneer Zephyr that Budd had built the previous year (1934), for "The Burlington" (the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad).
