A boxed Pepys Series "Game of Speed" card game, with a rather battered box.
We've seen different dates quoted for this game, the earliest being 1938, which would agree with the choice of subject material.
Although card games and board games are outside our strict remit of "toys and models", we found this card game fascinating as background context for the state of popular engineering in the late 1930s, with its selection of then-famous racing cars and speed record-breaking cars, and famous trains (with an emphasis on the LNER's streamlined A4).
