- " This model represents a big gorilla standing on its two legs and helping himself to stand with a pole. It is raising one of its arms to show people that is really powerful and dangerous. It seems to be angry as its open mouth is screaming. Its eyes are really big and it has got a black fur, big muscles and we can see that it has got green grass in his hand. It is standing on a green base. "
1940 catalogue description
- " These great Apes live together in small families and frequent the most gloomy parts of the forest. Although unwieldy looking creatures, they are active climbers and are said to ascend to the highest branches of the forest trees. "
