An "Oilette" postcard of "Her Majestys Dressing Table", The Queen's Dolls' House (later to be known as Queen Mary's Dolls' House), produced by Raphael Tuck and Sons ("Tuck's Postcards") catalogue number 4503-7. These postcards started to be produced in 1924, when the dollhouse first went on public display.

SERIES IV: THE QUEEN'S PRIVATE BOUDOIR

-

IV: 4503: THE GARDEN ENTRANCE.

Her Majesty's Dressing Table in the Queen's Dolls House strikes the note of perfect taste and its artistic realisation. We note the glass top over the brocade cover, the miniature portrait of the King, which is an excellent likeness, the exquisite trinket boxes encrusted with jewels and the mirror in a frame of diamonds. The two powder boxes, pot of cold cream, the bottles of scent, and the miniature medicine chest filled with tabloids, complete the ensemble.
