As of 2016, the Hornby brandname is owned by Hornby Hobbies Ltd., which also owns a number of other hobbyist brands, such as Airfix, Corgi Toys and Scalextric.
Manufacturing in China, until recently Hornby Hobbies ran all operations from the old Rovex factory site in Margate. However, warehousing operations moved to Hersden in 2014, and the company's Head Office moved to Discovery Park, Sandwich in February 2015, leaving just the Hornby Visitor Centre operating out of the original Rovex building, set back from Ramsgate Road.
The Visitor Centre is currently expected to move to Ramsgate in Summer 2016.
