A black and white gauge 0 Hornby globe-style single lamp standard, as shown in the 1925 Hornby Book of Trains.
The pieces has a winding handle and ratchet near its base to raise and lower the glass globe lantern, and could be fitted with a bulb and wires to produce a working trackside lamp. Hornby went on to make double-lamp versions. Later models had a blue finial instead of black.
