Arch Two , Area 18 1960s |
A diecast metal 1:1200-scale model Lifeboat Station, model number M 861, made as part of the Tri-ang Minic Ships range in the early 1960s. The model wasn't part of the initial 1959 range, and is also too early to appear in the 1960 catalogue.
Details
The Lifeboat Station consists of a grey-painted legged metal platform with ramp, topped by a blue-painted diecast metal lifeboat shed, and a tiny (easily-lost) blue plastic lifeboat with grey painted roof and bow-and-stern detailing. The platform has an angled cut along one side with a connector to allow it to fit to other quayside pieces.
