A brown Hornby Series Luggage Van No.1 (SR) with white roof and black bed, buffers and couplings, from around 1928. The red and gold rectangular Hornby Series design is in the middle of one of the van's end-faces
Dating
The No.1 Luggage Van is the standard No.1 Hornby Series van design, but the use of very large gold letters with black outlines and red drop-shadows corresponds to a style that appears in the Hornby Book of Trains in 1928/29. Before this, the No.1 luggage van was shown with white lettering.
