5. Marble Run
The marble run is designed as toy to help children understand the basics of rivers and mountains whilst still being a fun interactive game.
It is compiled of four separate levels that stack to make up a mountain with the marble dropped at the top. There are several possible runs (rivers) that the marbles can travel. Each level can be lifted and rotated around a hexagonal dowel that fixes the pieces at six possible positions in which the marble can run.
It is designed so that not all the possible configurations can work, meaning that the child has to play and reconfigure until they find runs that lead the marble down the rivers to the bottom of the mountain. This allows for hours of play and teaches them to work to understand which pathways will work.
