An early boxed example of what later became Dinky Toys No.2 - Milk Cans with Truck.
This example comes in a long, (snakeskin effect?) printed box with a white top label with colour printing that extends to the box edges.
Label
The label shows a colour picture of the truck and milkchurns outside a coloured section of station, with the rest of the background scenery rendered as faint lineart.
The text, in red, reads:
- " MINIATURE MILK-CANS WITH TRUCK FOR TOY RAILWAYS "
- " MANUFACTURED BY MECCANO LTD LIVERPOOL "
The box label has a "Hornby Series" logo or sticker in its bottom right corner, but doesn't mention either "Hornby Railway Accessories", or "Hornby Modelled Miniatures". It does, however, have a small number "2" in a circle in the bottom left corner, which presumably relates to it later becoming the "Number Two set" of those ranges.
