Miniature Sewing Machine (Orsha)(i) |
location: |
Arch Two , Area 11 1950s |
A brick-red miniature sewing machine with gold and black decoration, featuring a squat hexagonal logo of a running deer, manufactured at the Orsha sewing machine factory in Belorus, USSR in the 1950s.
This example has a black/brown Bakelite base. All the others we've seen photographs of online have a wooden base ... we don't know if this means that the base is a subsequent replacement, or whether this was a different edition of the machine.
