A life-sized painted plastic Paddington Bear collection box, with a slot in his hat, by the Museum Shop till in Arch One.
Paddington is wearing a large brown floppy hat and blue duffel coat, and is carrying a brown suitcase marked "Wanted on Voyage", and clutching an orange jamjar whose label reads: "Paddington's Finest Peruvian Marmalade".
Origin
The Paddington Bear character was created by Michael Bond for the children's book "A Bear Called Paddington" which appeared in 1958. In the books, the bear arrives at Paddington Railway Station, London after journeying from "Deepest, Darkest Peru". He is discovered with a sign around his neck that says "Please look after this Bear", and his adoptive family name him after the station.
