Pier Centre Section (Minic Ships 847)(i) |
location: |
Arch Two , Area 18 1960s |
A cream-painted metal diecast model Pier Centre Section with "leg" supports and a central green shelter with jutting roof, Tri-ang Minic Ships M 847.
Multiple units can be clipped together to make very long piers. The Pier Centre Section has four equal-spaced holes, so that it can take either one or two roofed "shelter" sections: one centrally (as shown in the image), one offset, or two butted together for more extravagant-looking piers with an almost continuous central line of shelters or stalls.
The section can be used without the green shelter as a general-purpose jetty.
