A marionette of a Policeman made by Pelham Puppets
This puppet was an SM type, defined by the movable mouth which is controlled by an extra string on the control bar.
Description
Policeman standard string Pelham puppet.
Round wooden head with ball nose, blue arched eyes and wide painted grin, button at chin, grey felt moustache (coming away). Navy blue felt policeman's helmet with black tape strap under chin. Woven navy blue cotton uniform of jacket and trousers with white embroidered cotton buttons to front and "PC 69" on stand up collar. Blue & white striped armband to right sleeve. Black wooden clog style feet. Metal eyelet joints to limbs. Composition closed flat hands. Box, brown card with Pelham label lid. "Tyrolean Boy" stamp crossed out and "Policeman" written in pencil on end of box . Cross-shaped folding wooden control.
