A red Tri-Ang MINIC clockwork pre-war double-decker No.177 bus, destination: Mitcham, with cream bands running horizontally across the upper deck of windows and roof, and the lower deck of windows, and white tyres. This example is rather rare.
Advertising
The bus has a large advert on the sides for Ovaltine, and a small advert for Bisto on its lower back.
Dating
As well as the white tyres (which tend to date a MINIC to the pre-war era if the tyres are original), the bus is also a darker red than the others on display (which look to be "Post Office red" or very close).
