A Post-Office-red 1:76-scale split-windscreen early Morris Minor Royal Mail Van, Dublo Dinky Toys 068.
The original truck
The Royal Mail used a variety of vans during the mid-C20th, adopting the Morris Minor delivery van for Royal Mail use when it appeared in 1953. The "Dublo Dinky" version is completely red to represent a "standard" Morris Royal Mail van, rather than the special version that had flexible black rubber front wings to minimise damage to the van and to other vehicles when it was used to navigate the narrow backroads behind some commercial buildings.
