A 1:1200 painted diecast metal model of the United States Lines flagship ocean liner SS United States, part of the Tri-Ang Minic range produced between 1959 and 1964, catalogue number M704.
The model has a white and black body and two red and black funnels.

M 704 S.S. UNITED STATES – United States Line, 53,300 tons, 990 feet long, 4 screws. The fastest liner in the world. She gained the Atlantic speed record from the "Queen Mary" in 1952 with a speed of approximately 35 knots. Length 9 15⁄16 inches (25.2 cm)

The SS United States was the last holder of the Blue Riband Trophy for the fastest crossing of the Atlantic, which she won on her maiden voyage with an average speed of 35.59 knots on the Eastbound voyage and an average speed of 34.51 knots on her Westbound voyage.
