Sheffield Park Station was built in 1882, and is now the headquarters of the preserved Bluebell Railway. As the main visitor focus and HQ for the Bluebell, the station's amenities and facilities have since been enlarged to include locomotive sheds.
The station has been restored (as far as practical) to its state during the LBSCR era, and is now considered to be the "reference example" of a classic LBSCR station building, to the extent that its sections were used as the basis of a set of "Sheffield Park" model station buildings by Bachmann.
