A Hornby Dublo three-rail model of the streamlined, wedge-nosed, LNER Gresley A4 "Pacific" 4-6-2 "Silver King" locomotive (Dublo EDL11), in British Railways gloss green with black-and-orange lining, and with BR running number 60016.
The Hornby Dublo model was launched (in these BR colours) in 1953, and the museum model probably dates from around 1954.
The original locomotive
The third of the four original 1935 silver-coloured A4 streamliner locos that ran the Silver Jubilee train, number 2511 Silver King was in service from 1935 to 1965. It was renumbered 6016 by BR after the Second World War.
