Sort Space
The Museum's Sort Space is not a public-access area.
Use
The Sort Space is an upper-level area currently used for sorting and preparing collections of exhibits going on and off display, for sorting and pricing exhibits for the museum's Collector's Market, for sorting and identifying incoming donated toys and models, and as a "clean area" for assembling and finishing display cabinetry and display hardware such as shelving, labelling and backdrops.
The area currently has a single computer with internet access as an aid to researching and identifying donated pieces and setting the pricings for "commission sale" stock.
Forward planning
We are currently considering increasing the number of workstations in the Sort Space, to relieve pressure on the Resource room caused by the expansion of the Museum's range of activities, projects and research.
