Umlauts: How to get an ä
Note to Wiki maintainers: you can get the "umlauted a" character on most text editor programs by holding down the left "Alt" key, while you type "0228" on the keypad. The trick might not work within all web browsers, but you can still use it to create an "ä" with Notepad, and then copy and paste the character into the Wiki editor window.
