1956: Tan-Sad trade advert [image info]
Tan-Sad Ltd of Birmingham produced a range of wheeled pedalcars, prams and tricycles. The company was round from at least the 1910s, and became the Tan-Sad Chair Co. in 1931.
The company seemed to specialise in seating, and one of its early products was a second pillion seat for bicycles, suggesting that perhaps "Tan-Sad" might originally have been an abbreviation of Tandem Saddle.
