The Cortazzi Collection

The Cortazzi collection of dollhouse furniture was donated to the Museum during COVID, and includes a wonderful selection of top-of-the-range pre-C20th wood-effect painted tinplate dollhouse furniture by Rock & Graner.

It is now part of the Museum’s permanent collection, and we plan to build a new display space for it, with custom-built rooms, hopefully during 2024.

However, we have limited number of specialist staff, who each look after multiple aspects of the Museum, and it seems to be in the nature of our Museum that unexpected things (like lovely donations!) are continually happening, which means that our plans are constantly being derailed!

So while we are currently quite determined to have this collection on display in 2024, we can't guarantee that the date might not slip.
