A yellow motorised Meccano model Tower Crane with cross-pattern base, made from the motorised Meccano Crane Construction Multikit set (1976).
The Crane Construction Set was one of a number of themed Meccano sets introduced in an attempt to make the sets more focus, with the yellow-and-brass Crane construction set being a followup to the 1972 Army and Highway Multikit construction sets (in camouflage green, and in yellow), and the shrunk 1974 Combat, and expanded Super Highway sets.
This model was put together for the 2014-2016 Toys in the Community project, and as of February 2016 lives in the museum's resource room rather than being on display.
