A Marionette of the Wicked Witch from the Fairy-Tale Hansel and Gretel made by Pelham Puppets
The Wicked Witch was one of Pelham's longer running models, being in production from 1948 to 1986. As part of the SM line of puppets, the Witch has a moving mouth (unlike the later green-faced model from the SL line, in the Museum's Halloween Cabinet).
Overview
- Based on the witch from Hansel and Gretel
- Round head with painted features: warts and spots, strands of hair, blue eyes
- Black dress with blue polka dot apron
- Broomstick, white hair, pointed brown hat, composite hands
