Skeleton Marionette made by Pelham PuppetsThe line started originally in 1973 and was made until 1984. This is the second skeleton design, the original running from 1952 to 1972 was labeled 'Disjointing Skeleton' which was shortened to simply Skeleton for the second design which we have on display. You can tell this is the later model as the eyes are actually moulded to the skull from the start rather than being the attached beads characteristic of the early model. An interesting thing to note is that at some point in this puppet's history it has been restringed as shown by the fact it has purely black strings while all Pelham Puppets after 1956 Pelham always used multi coloured strings to help ease of untangling![1]
